General Summary of Position:

The UMass Lowell Campus Recreation Department is seeking a part-time Assistant Cheer coach for our club team. Position is August-May approximately 10-15 hours per week.

Job Duties:

  • Assist the head coach with practice sessions, games, events, and coaching responsibilities assigned.
  • This individual is responsible for recruiting student athletes, assisting in responding to inquiries and maintaining regular contact with prospective students through recruitment events, promotional activities, and telecommunication avenues.
  • Works with student-athletes and monitors adherence to team rules and regulations concerning conduct, appearance, behavior and attendance.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelors degree (or currently enrolled in a Bachelors program)
  • College or cheer experience as a coach and/or athlete

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College cheer experience as a coach and/or athlete preferred
