The Biomedical Lab Specialist/Clinical Coordinator (BLS) will be part of a four-person MLS(ASCP) certified team that supports the Biomedical and Nutritional Science (BNS) department. The BLS work under a shared leadership model where each member represents their areas of clinical laboratory of expertise. The BLS work closely with the BNS Department Chair, Associate Chair and laboratory course coordinators. This BLS position works directly with the Medical Laboratory Program Director to assist with clinical practicum and student management. Primary work responsibilities include assisting the MLS Program Director, preparation and instruction of clinical laboratory courses, ensuring that all teaching laboratory safety standards are followed, maintaining biomedical instruments and equipment, inventory management, the maintenance and development of laboratory procedures and mentoring student workers.

The Rist DifferenceMaker Fellow is designed to engage current, past, and future graduate students; masters; doctoral, and post-doctoral candidates, in building, developing, and expanding the DifferenceMaker Program and the success of its student teams. The position is supported by the Rist DifferenceMaker Institute. The Rist Fellow is a part of UMass Lowell's DifferenceMaker Program. The Rist Fellow will work directly with the DifferenceMaker Program management team. Opening for 1st shift M-F 5 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and 2nd shift M-F 1:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. Supervise the maintenance and repair of campus buildings, the cleaning of building interiors and the upkeep of grounds; ensure that standards of security and cleanliness are maintained; and perform related work as required. The basic purpose of this work is to oversee the general care, maintenance, repair, alteration and security of buildings and appurtenances.
Housekeeping Services Assistant Manager 507421 Facilities Operations&Services
The Housekeeping Services Assistant Manager reports to the Housekeeping Services Manager and assists with day-to-day management of housekeeping department operations. Activities include, but are not limited to: monitoring building conditions and staff productivity, ensuring housekeeping staff are working safely, efficiently and following safety procedures. This position will provide housekeeping skills and individual developmental training to staff. The Assistant Manager may work with the Special Events Department, and other campus stakeholders to ensure proper Facilities Management support. This position reports to Vice Provost, Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS), Dean of the Francis College of Engineering (FCOE), and the Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation. This position supports new workforce development and business pursuits and on-going curriculum development and accreditation activities across a variety of academic, defense, and commercial related engineering, manufacturing, business, workforce, and executive leadership programs for the FCOE and GPS. This position also serves as a liaison to the recruiting of high school students into the FCOE and of professionals into GPS degree pathways. The successful candidate will manage and expand income-generating activities, provide academic area leadership and management of curricula design and development and make a significant contribution to the management and development of teaching and learning strategies, academic standards, and leading edge practice. The successful candidate will also serve in a program management role and as a thought leader on the FCOE staff, and will work closely with the GPS Academic and Corporate Development team in the development and ongoing operation of workforce training programs.
