General Summary of Position:

Seeking a part-time/temporary Office Administrator to support a research professor’s team of graduate students with travel arrangements, reimbursements, and purchases. The job requires using the university’s financial processes. The position requires a high level of autonomy, critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Education: Bachelors degree with the following experience and/or willingness to learn about:

  • Concur (Travel and Reimbursement System),
  • UPST BuyWays,
  • UPST Declining Balance Cards,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic office applications

*will consider candidates with HS Diploma or GED/equivalent and 3-5 years of related experience.

Skills:

  • Excellent and timely communication across several UMass campuses

Additional Considerations:

  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve independently in fast-paced office
  • Availability Monday-Friday
  • Interest in learning new processes and systems 
  • Must be comfortable with and interested in working with multicultural populations
