General Summary of Position:
This being an internal opportunity, only current UML Employees, irrespective of Bargaining units are eligible to apply for this position.
The Program Academic Advisor position is a part-time time, benefited position. The position will work with faculty in the development and implementation of a new educational program in public health informatics and technology. The position will serve as the primary liaison with undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the program and in networking to recruit new students.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Education:
- Master's degree with a major or minor in a health-related field or Bachelor's plus 2 year experience working in a higher education setting
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills including writing, oral presentation, and facilitation of meetings.
- Willingness to engage in public speaking about the program.
- Experience with Microsoft Office including good skills with Excel
- Strong intrapersonal skills and ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
Additional Considerations:
- Familiarity with public health informatics technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ability to orally present the program during interactions with people from diverse backgrounds will be critical.

This position is benefited, part-time Grants & Contracts Union and anticipated for 6-months. Formal grade range for P15 (full-time annualized) is minimum: $54,217 and 25th quartile of $61,672 with midpoint of $69,126. The anticipated hourly rate at time of hire is $29.23/hour based on the grant.
This posiiton is contingent upon funding. This position is part-time, benefited, 25 hours per week.
