Overview:
The Basement is part lounge, part performance venue, all fun! The staff in this unique on-campus location will be challenged to provide: high quality experiences, friendly greetings, and a clean and welcoming environment. Duties include providing superior customer service, facility maintenance, and monitoring of programs and activities.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities: Ensure overall safety of the facility during daily operations Supervise operations which include; facility check-in, daily inspection and straightening chairs, and facility programs. Follow the daily attendant checklist and perform all other duties as assigned.
Daily Checklist:
Check supplies and track what is needed
Make sure the chairs are orderly
Organize equipment pieces, e.g., rack pool table balls immediately
Complete a facility walkthrough every 30 minutes Assist programs as needed (sound system, storage closet)
Attend to cleaning schedule duties including conference rooms/green room/lobby
Assist patrons as needed Answer phone/ monitor front entrance
Assure patrons are following facility rules
Follow opening and closing checklist
Staff Expectations
Show up on time for shifts
Communicate with co-workers
Check all staff communications before starting each shift (SLACK, email)
Wear a staff shirt
Complete all staff responsibilities
Staff Documentation System (Full-time staff and Student Managers will track employee performance): All employees will be part of an employee performance tracking system. This system will be used to prioritize hiring/re-hiring, staff promotions, and staff scheduling.
Positive notes will be given to staff for the following:
Picking up shifts last minute
Attending to extra cleaning duties
Exceptional customer service
Employee of the month
Taking initiative Negative notes will be given to staff for the following:
Listening to headphones during work
Not attending to duties (cleaning, walkthroughs)
Lack of communication (showing up late, missing shifts, etc)
Loss of employment can result in negative documentation
