Overview:
RMU Athletics is looking for an outgoing and qualified candidate who will be responsible for assisting with the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives.   He/she will work closely with the athletics marketing staff to plan and execute engagement opportunities for students, as well as develop fan-friendly strategies that meet the needs of a collegiate sports department.    Those serving in a marketing role with RMU Athletics will receive a comprehensive overview of collegiate sports marketing including game day operations, creative communications, strategic outreach, in-game promotions, event planning, customer service, and more.
Responsibilities:
Participate in grassroots efforts to create buzz and awareness about RMU Athletics on campus and in the community.  ● Conduct research to be implemented into future marketing plans  ● Provide customer service, manage interactive fan zone areas, organize giveaways, and set-up/break down events, including watch parties.  ● Attend athletic events to promote via various platforms what is happening within the game itself and with fans ● Develop creative social media content that will increase online engagement and promote athletic and other special events to the campus and surrounding community ● Help develop social media campaigns that feature the excellence of programs, coaches and student-athletes in each of RMU’s 16 intercollegiate sports ● Utilize social media tracking tools to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of social media campaigns on campus. ● Attendance on game days and at designated key events, in addition to office hours as necessary. ● Other assignments designated by marketing staff
Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred, but not limited to, Sport Management, Communication and Marketing Majors

Wage: 7.25
