Overview:
The Department of Nursing seeks candidates for a Graduate Assistant to support the Test for Success Program.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Test for Success Manager, the Test for Success Graduate Assistant will perform tutoring with BSN nursing students at all levels. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Performs tutoring with BSN nursing students of all levels. 2) Prepares tutoring plans based on class content. 3) Promotes Socratic Questioning from students during tutoring sessions. 4) Assists students with developing study plans that incorporate time management and study skills. 5) Performs basic office responsibilities when tutoring times are less than 10 hours/week. 6) Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1) Must be an RMU student enrolled in Nursing Graduate Program and must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. 2) Stays current with beginning level nursing content. 3) Familiar with Google docs, Blackboard preferred and proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel 4) Willingness to learn software programs and new technology. 5) Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information appropriately. 6) Detail oriented, flexible and ability to work independently. 7) Excellent communication skills. 8) Attend annual 2 day CRLA training through Center for Student Success.
