Overview:
The Student Event Program Assistants are returning students who assist the Act 101 staff with events and manage the Act 101 program. Duties include inventorying the Act 101 Lending Library and helping to maintain Act 101 files. Student Event Program Assistants are asked to assist with planning and operating student social programming and academic skill-building workshops.
Responsibilities:
STUDENT EVENT PROGRAM ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES EXPECTATIONS
Check RMU email and other mandated communication frequently
Respond to Act101 communication in a timely fashion
Maintain good academic and judicial standing with the university
Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism
Represent RMU in a positive manner on and off-campus, and on social media, when speaking with others and dealing with obstacles and challenges Respect various views and perspectives of students, fellow staff and leadership Serve as a student leader, exhibiting respect, dignity, and courtesy to those in the RMU community
Maintain confidentiality and follow protocol for emergency and crisis situations
Attend staff training with Act 101 Staff Team
PROGRAMMING
Attend and assist with the implementation of cultural events, social events, volunteer opportunities, and workshops
Drive Act 101 students to events in RMU vehicle
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Complete the application and interview process Complete requirements of Act 101 program Maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA Remain in good judicial standing Must be at least a second-semester student at RMU
Academic Years Preferred: Sophomore Year or Greater
