Overview:
The Career and Professional Development Center is looking for a driven, outgoing, and sales-minded student to join our team as a Career Center Employer Relations Student Assistant. In this high-impact role, you'll help strengthen and expand partnerships with top employers - opening doors to valuable internships and job opportunities for fellow RMU students. If you're passionate about building relationships, promoting big ideas, and making career connections happen, this role is for you!
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities Support outreach and communications to employers, helping to build and nurture key relationships Assist with event coordination (venue setup, catering, sponsor communication) Design flyers, social graphics, and signage using Canva Maintain and update employer and contact databases Support programming for Preferred Partners Curate and update content on uConnect, the Career Center’s student-facing website Take the lead on social media campaigns that showcase employers, events, and hiring opportunities Contribute to the development of a new program spotlighting key employers and internship/job openings for RMU students Greet and engage employer guests during campus visits, being the face of RMU's career readiness efforts Provide day-to-day administrative and event support to the Career Center team
Minimum Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For Enthusiastic communicator with strong writing and interpersonal skills Social media savvy (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) Creative eye with experience in Canva or similar design tools Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail Interest in sales, business, marketing, career development, or related fields Able to work both independently and collaboratively
Academic Years Preferred: Sophomore Year or Greater
