Overview:
The Chief Operating Officer will assist the Director of Bands in the day-to-day operations of the band. The will maintain office hours in the band office and assist the members of the band with music, uniforms, and other items necessary. They will assist the Director of Bands with record keeping, advertisement, and travel.
Responsibilities:
The Chief Operating Officer will keep accurate records from attendance to music, to uniforms. They will disseminate information from the office to the members of all of the ensembles. During office hours they will answer the phone and appropriately take messages, transfer calls, or answer questions regarding the program.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of one year experience in the RMU Band Program. A working knowledge of Word, Excel, Google and social media, is mandatory. Student must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Position requires the ability to positively interact with a wide variety of people from students to CEO's.
Academic Years Preferred: Sophomore Year or Greater
