Simulation Operations Specialist RISE Center Moon Campus
The RISE Center at Robert Morris University fosters the development of an internationally recognized immersive learning and digital innovation ecosystem, leveraging technology to enhance our overall mission and vision. Our vision is to be a nationally known simulation center transforming the education of our learners through innovative experiential learning and creating positive social change by building relationships, knowledge and skills. Our mission statement is to be a state-of-the-art simulation facility that serves the university and region. We nurture professional development through experiential learning supported by well-prepared simulation educators and staff. We are seeking a Simulation Operations Specialist who is part of our team responsible for simulation equipment the management and operations of daily simulation functions. The incumbent reports to the RISE Center Director and will work collaboratively with all members of the team and stakeholders across the university and surrounding community. This role engages with activities related to our center’s equipment management, overall operations, and learning support. To be successful in this position the incumbent will heavily rely on ability to understand and manage technology, be a proactive problem-solver, be detailed oriented, be customer-centered, process and outcomes-oriented, and demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and learn quickly. The incumbent will be joining a high functioning and collaborative team committed to delivering excellent service and is committed to continuous improvement. Schedule: Varies per semester, allowed 950 hours per year, average about 20 hours per week per semester, occasional weekend commitments (1-3 times yearly) Hourly Rate: $25 to $30/hr
Literacy Tutor, Structured Literacy Education Moon Campus
The Structured Literacy Tutor will work directly with children in grades K-12 that are referred to the Center for reading and/or writing tutoring. The Tutor will conduct screenings on all incoming students to determine instructional needs, plan developmentally appropriate instruction based on data, conduct progress monitoring, communicate with parents, and administer all post assessments with clients. The Tutor is responsible for all parent communication and preparation of materials associated with tutoring sessions. The Tutor will keep accurate and timely time sheets and attendance records. Frequent meetings with the Coordinator of the Center will be essential to ensure all students are being serviced properly. This position is partially funded by non-university funds. Position continuation is contingent upon grant renewal or procurement of additional funding sources. This is a part-time position not eligible for University benefits. Work hours are limited to 950 per calendar year and less than 29 hours per week on a regular basis.
Ice Crew - NCAA Hockey Game Day Athletics Game Day Staff Island Sports Center
The RMU Ice Crew is a team of experienced skaters which performs a variety of functions at NCAA women's and men's hockey home and select hosted games. The Crew also provides spirit and enthusiasm which enhances the fan game day experience.
Utility Worker, Part-Time Facilities Environmental Services Moon Campus
The position performs manual work in the custodial care of University buildings and parking facilities. In addition, incumbents will be required to provide support for University athletic events, as well as other events as required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Facilities Specialist II and/or Facilities Specialist. This position is considered essential and is required to report to work as scheduled during University closings.
