Overview |
The Center for Global Engagement supports full-time international students studying at RMU, coordinates RMU abroad opportunities outside the United States, works with Rooney International Scholars living on campus, and creates a Global Campus by offering programming and events to engage all. CGE Student Assistants work hand-in-hand with CGE staff members to serve the campus community and complete day-to-day tasks within the office. |
Responsibilities |
The Student Assistant position includes the following responsibilities: - Welcome and assist international students, study abroad participants, faculty, and other office visitors. - Assist CGE staff with various projects - Data entry - Respond to general e-mail inquiries - Gain a cultural understanding of diverse cultures by encouraging a global perspective across campus |
Minimum Qualifications |
- Detail-oriented - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) - Cultural sensitivity towards those from other countries and cultures - Word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and social media skills - Good organizational skills - Prior study abroad and/or international experience is a plus |
