Reporting to the Campus Recreation leadership team, the Head Coach for Club Basketball will oversee all aspects of the University’s competitive club basketball program, including planning and conducting practices, game strategy, player development, recruitment, budget management, travel coordination, academic monitoring, compliance, and supervision of team support staff. The Head Coach is responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive team culture, supporting student-athlete well-being and academic success, and implementing disciplinary measures when necessary. The Head Coach will play a vital role in developing content and promotional strategies that elevate the team brand and enhance visibility across campus and beyond.
This role includes collaboration with Campus Recreation administrators to plan home events, away contests, and ensure compliance with RMU Club Sports policies and NCBBA league requirements. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in coaching or playing at the high school or collegiate level, as well as a strong understanding of player development, team management, and athlete recruitment. Familiarity with the college athletic recruitment process, including player evaluation and outreach, is essential. This position requires availability for all scheduled practices and competitions, including nights and weekends, and may involve occasional travel to off-campus games. Strong organizational and communication skills, a commitment to student-athlete welfare and academic success, and adherence to University and NCBBA regulations are critical. |

RMU Athletics is looking for outgoing and qualified candidates who would like the opportunity to be actively involved RMU Athletics and its various programs on a first hand basis.
He/she will work with the team’s staff member(s) as designated by the Director of Operations and will assist in daily operations of the team.
OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this internship is to develop an understanding of how the intercollegiate athletic programs operate. This position gives the student a chance to learn team operations from the ground up, learning all facets and gaining insight of how to successfully operate a program. Students will work daily with coaches, athletes and administrative staff and will develop working relations and learn how to interact on a professional basis within the parameters of the department. This is an ideal position for the student, of any major, who have a desire to work in intercollegiate athletics upon graduation. Students will be able to apply knowledge learned in the classroom, to everyday aspects of the position. This position will also give the student an opportunity to work with Department administrators as needed. |

The Assistant Coach, Men’s D1 Club Ice Hockey is a part-time position not eligible for University benefits. Work hours are limited to 950 per calendar year and less than 29 hours per week on a regular basis.
The University is a proud member of the ACHA with successful hockey programs at the Men’s D1 and D3 levels.
The team practices 2-3 times per week and plays games most weekends during the season.
There are 3-5 travel weekends during the season which include Fridays. Preference is for the coach to attend all practices and games. |

The RMU-TV General Manager (GM) is the student worker responsible for the day-to-day operations of the station, engaging with all AMC student, staff, and faculty stakeholders to provide access to this vital community resource. OPPORTUNITY
The Rooney International Visiting Scholar Program offers international scholars the opportunity to spend a semester in residence at Robert Morris University pursuing research, and/ or teaching while interacting with faculty, staff, and students. The Rooney Scholars live on campus in the Rooney House and become part of the campus community. Travel expenses will be provided and well as an automobile for the Scholar’s use (valid driver’s license required). A salary is provided.
