The position is responsible for providing, assessing and coordinating multiculturally sensitive psychological services delivery for same-day crisis/urgent psychotherapeutic appointments. The position’s purpose also serves to deliver clinical case management and support services to UCPS and the campus community. This purpose is enacted through consultative and psychotherapeutic involvement and intervention. While the primary constituency served is the Lehigh student body and the goal is to maintain or enhance intrapsychic and interpersonal health, the purpose is achieved through collaboration and consultation with Faculty, Staff, Parents and appropriate others in addition to the direct service provided to Students. This position is a Grade: 9-40 with an approximate salary range of $53,580-$65,210 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications

1. Consultation and outreach
*Provide psychological consultation services to students, parents, faculty, coaches staff and related constituency
*Coordinate provision of liaison relationships and services to various offices and specialty groups within the University (i.e, Dean of Students, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Residential Life, International Student Office), as well as develop working relationships with multidisciplinary mental health professionals in the community
*Provide psycho-educational outreach programs for graduate and undergraduate students in residence halls, fraternities, sororities and other student clubs and organizations
*Provide performance enhancement interventions and additional psychological services for students, student groups and organizations

2. Provide, assess and coordinate, as the initial UCPS point person, for same day urgent intervention for students in distress or at risk, treatment consultation and recommendation/referral for graduate and undergraduate students at Lehigh
*Coordinate the crisis intervention process for clients presenting with urgent same-day needs, conducting triage evaluations and assessments with referral for treatment if appropriate
*Utilize Psychological instruments and provide evaluations for students as appropriate
*Perform case management (referrals, correspondence, scheduling, treatment planning, case conceptualization and reviewing session video)
*Chart case files and manage files (i.e. HIPAA and Consent Forms)
*Participate in informal Staff consultation and formal weekly case conference sessions focused on clinical treatment

3. Training/supervision
*Conduct topical or process seminars and group supervision meetings when applicable and provide additional consultation as needed with focus on assisting the Trainee in developing their professional and counseling skills
*Attend weekly case conference with Clinical Staff for ongoing professional development
*Receive regular consultation/supervision with the Director

4. Due to the nature of this position, the incumbent will be part of an on-call rotation where they may be called upon to respond to crisis situations that arise outside of normal working hours and days. This rotation lasts for one week at a time
*Serve in "on call" capacity
*Provide crisis and "walk-in" assessment, therapy and consultation
*Consult with professional colleagues and critical Administrative Staff
*Make appropriate referrals to internal and external care providers
*Follow-up for treatment and management
*Document appropriate information for legal review

5. Professional activities and development
*Study professional literature and attend professional seminars/trainings/conferences to develop and maintain competence as a mental health professional and integrate roles of scientist and practitioner
*Complete UCPS projects as assigned by the Director
*Receive regular consultation/supervision with the Director and attend weekly case conference with Clinical Staff *Accountability/Supporting Activities

This position works with minors

The duties of this position may allow the employee to work partially remote as deemed appropriate by their supervisor 

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Counseling/Clinical Psychology, Social Work or related field; Doctorate Degree is preferred

Three to five years of related work experience

Pennsylvania mental health licensure, or current out of state license whereby one is imminently licensable in the state of PA

Specialty training and experience in a university counseling center or behavioral health triage system

Experience working with multiculturally diverse populations

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
