Responsibilities:
  • Writing duties: Develop engaging, vibrant and informational content to support the OISS including the weekly International Student Newsletter, posters, social media content and more
  • Graphic Design duties: Design flyers, brochures and other promotional materials as needed.
  • Events duties: Assist in the preparation, facilitation and implementation of international student programs and events. Assist with recruiting volunteers for events. Must possess strong organizational skills including multitasking and working effectively and independently and as a part of a team.
  • Administrative duties: Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping, organization, filing, research on a variety of topics, managing emails and phone calls, and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in Quinnipiac’s undergraduate or graduate studies
  • Web: Familiarity with use of social media as a tool of engagement. Experience in writing, editing, proofreading is an asset.
  • Writing: Excellent writing skills and cultural sensitivity to matters of style, tone and voice, excellent research skills and an ability to work independently. Strong editing, copyediting skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency with MS Word and Excel is required. Experience with Canva is an asset.
  • Event Planning: Dealing courteously and effectively with international students, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including multi-tasking and working effectively as part of a team, as well as independently. Experience in leadership roles and event planning is an asset. Excellent organization skills
Hours of Position:
  • Up to 15 hours/week 
  • Monday- Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 
  • In office required, no remote hours
