Responsibilities: |
- Maintain frequent email correspondence with the team to coordinate content needs.
- Source, write, and edit stories and profiles that highlight current and former CAS students, faculty, and staff.
- Ensure all written content adheres to the branding guidelines set forth by the University and is consistent with the college's and target platform’s tone and style.
- Collaborate with the team to develop content calendar for various platforms, including newsletters, and the college website; meet all submission deadlines as assigned.
- Assist in copywriting for printed and digital marketing materials that increase the visibility of the College of Arts & Sciences and promote engagement within the community.
- Occasionally conduct phone and email interviews to gather information for stories and articles.
- Visit College-sponsored events on campus to take notes, pictures, or record quotes for feature stories.

Qualifications: |
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Be able to multitask, prioritize, and take initiative with precision and attention to detail
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Tech savvy and willing to learn new technology
- Be able to work independently and in a team environment
- Able to take high-quality, well-framed photographs based on target platform format
- Experience with or willingness to learn basic graphic design platforms (Adobe Suite, Canva)

Hours of Position: |
- Up to 5hrs per week
- Flexible with remote opportunities
