Prepares and sets up equipment for procedures and is responsible for turnover of the procedure room(s). Checks functioning of the equipment, setting up instruments and supplies for the procedure. Assists in clean up, replenishes supplies between procedures and confirms all equipment is still functioning. Collects specimens obtained during procedure & confirms all specimens are accurately labeled and brought to the lab. Maintains endoscopy equipment. Notifies Clinical Engineering of malfunctioning equipment, including scopes, and requests loaner equipment as needed. Maintains quality results by following Hospital standards, procedures, and policies.
