Under general supervision, the Irrigation Specialist maintains and repairs grounds irrigation systems including modification of existing systems and the planning, cost estimating, and installation of new systems. The Irrigation Specialist performs specialized work on irrigation systems in grounds areas for a major portion of the incumbent’s work time. Incumbents in the Groundsworker classification or other grounds classifications may maintain sprinkler heads, make minor repairs to sprinkler lines, set clocks on automatic control devices in an assigned area of the campus on an occasional basis, and occasionally assist an Irrigation Specialist in specialized irrigation system maintenance work.
Facilities Management and Services (FMS) is a large, complex department consisting of approximately 180 employees working various shifts and providing diverse administrative and operational services campus wide. |

Under the general supervision of the Vice President for Information Technology (VPIT), the incumbent serves as the Executive Assistant and advisor to the VPIT, handling issues of complex, confidential, and sensitive nature. The incumbent provides executive administrative support, logistics support, operational support, and communications support to the Office of the VPIT. The incumbent works closely with Information Technology directors, other Vice Presidents, Associate Vice Presidents, the Office of the President, and the CSU, Chancellor's Office. The incumbent serves as the primary point of contact for the VPIT with the University's internal stakeholders (faculty, staff, students) as well as external stakeholders (government agencies, universities and schools, and community organizations and leaders).
