Under direct supervision, the Graphic Design Student Assistant will assist with the conceptualization, design, and creation of Career Center marketing materials, including illustrations, graphical and typographical design elements for posters, social media posts, postcards, signs, various print and digital materials using the Adobe Creative Cloud. Format various text documents for print, including lists, newsletters, newspapers, and programs. Assist with developing timelines for projects and work within deadlines to ensure their completion. Must be highly organized, initiate work and be a self-starter. The student assistant will also assist with uploading and posting on social media. Will gain job related experience in Graphic Design. This position may also include assistance to the front desk as needed. Previous clerical or administrative support experience, including front desk or customer service experience is preferred, but not required. This position requires fundamental written and oral communication skills, including a sound foundation in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; an ability to understand standard office procedures, discretion, and initiative. In this position you will be involved in front line contact with students and a variety of campus and community individuals requiring active problem solving and effective interpersonal skills, as well as provide excellent customer service.
