| The Facilities Development & Operations department provides general maintenance and cleaning services across campus, supports special event set-up and take-down, assists with minor furniture-moving projects, and secures buildings and equipment from unauthorized access. The Laborer position is responsible for special event set-up and take-down; loading and unloading furniture, equipment, supplies, and materials; removing and hauling waste and recyclables from central aggregation areas and event or clean-up sites; and performing a variety of manual labor duties. Laborers perform tasks such as moving heavy furniture, equipment, and materials; cleaning assigned areas, including removing construction debris; cleaning gutters, culverts, drainage structures, roadsides, and streets; power washing; cleaning equipment; and supporting special cleaning projects. They assist crafts and construction workers with unskilled tasks, including preparing work areas, rough repairs, tearing down structures, patching pavement, and performing pick-and-shovel work. Additional duties include grounds maintenance (pruning, trimming, spraying, removing undergrowth and debris, and preparing areas with hand tools), operating and performing basic preventive maintenance on hand and powered tools and equipment, and, in some cases, driving a motor vehicle to transport and deliver materials. |

Custodial Coordinator

| California State University, East Bay is seeking a Custodial Coordinator to support daily custodial operations and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment. Reporting to Facilities Development & Operations, this position plays a key role in coordinating custodial services across academic, administrative, housing, and event spaces.
The Custodial Coordinator assists with scheduling, work assignments, quality control inspections, and staff coordination across multiple shifts. This role supports compliance with CSU standards, health and safety regulations, and sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and recycling programs. The coordinator also works closely with supervisors, Facilities Work Control, and campus partners to respond to service requests, special events, and operational needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial operations, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a diverse campus environment. Familiarity with work order systems, union environments, and customer service best practices is highly desirable. The ability to lead by example, support staff, and maintain consistent service levels is essential. Nurse Practitioner (10/12 Pay Plan)

| Student Health and Counseling Services provides basic, augmented and preventive health care to CSUEB students. These services support the clinic’s mission to have students achieve and maintain an optimal state of health so they may attain their academic and career goals.
The Family Nurse Practitioner evaluates, diagnoses, and treats medical conditions of CSUEB students with an emphasis on preventative care, as per protocol and approved privileges, and under the supervision of a physician. The family nurse practitioner also provides health education and performs health promotion activities, and other administrative duties as assigned, such as serving as lead for licensed and unlicensed nursing staff, as needed. The family nurse practitioner may also provide some employee health-care services.
This position may require occasional coverage at CSU East Bay’s Concord campus. |

Payroll Technician I (Temporary)

| Under close supervision, the Payroll Technician I performs routine payroll and personnel transactions for all California State University employees. Incumbents process a full range of payroll and personnel actions, including appointments, changes in status, leaves of absence, and separations, in accordance with established CSU policies and procedures.
The Payroll Technician I applies payroll and personnel transaction rules and regulations consistent with CSU policies and guidelines, state and federal laws, education codes, and applicable collective bargaining agreements. The incumbent validates reported work hours, leave usage, accruals, and entitlements, and audits payroll and related reports to ensure accuracy. The position identifies discrepancies, errors, or other payroll-related issues and performs appropriate corrective actions in accordance with established guidelines.
The Payroll Technician I responds promptly, effectively, and professionally to requests for payroll-related information and assistance from campus departments, employees, and other stakeholders. The position prepares and codes payroll and personnel transactions and enters data into Oracle/PeopleSoft and the State’s Payroll Information Management System. The incumbent verifies and audits warrant reports prior to the release of payments.
In addition, the Payroll Technician I processes third-party payroll actions involving employee pay, including judgments, levies, bankruptcies, and child support wage garnishments. The position also provides general clerical and administrative support to the Payroll Office, including filing and retrieving payroll records, answering phones, completing miscellaneous payroll forms (including employment verifications), and providing general reception support. |
