| Part-time lecturer positions teaching major and non-major courses in Biology including Introductory Biology, Genetics, Developmental Genetics, Hematology, General Microbiology, Medical Microbiology and Human Physiology and Anatomy. A Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences or related field is required for these positions. However, for certain non-major courses only, the Ph.D. requirement may be waived, but M.S. is required. The policy and expectation is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California. |

Lecturer Pool for Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry AY 26-27

| The successful candidate will teach up to 15 contact hours per week in undergraduate laboratories and/or lectures, with assignments being consistent with the candidate’s expertise and training, as well as the specific needs of the Department. Most of our instructional needs will be in introductory chemistry courses. In addition to classroom teaching, the candidate will be expected to hold office hours for students and perform the other normal duties associated with teaching. M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry, applicants with degrees in related fields to chemistry will be considered if they have a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in chemistry or biochemistry. |

| The Department of Psychology usually has part-time positions open to teach undergraduate courses in all areas of psychology. Minimum requirement: Ph.D. in Psychology (or related field) or enrollment in a Ph.D. program with sufficient progress towards the degree is preferred. Candidates who possess a Master’s degree and teaching experience in an appropriate field will be considered.
Teaching assigned classes in psychology. Preparing syllabi and other course materials, planning class sessions and out-of-class activities, communicating with students and helping them with class material as appropriate, and holding regular office hours. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online.
