College of Science Laboratory Support Technician East Bay
Fulfilling the College of Science’s (CSCI) instructional (both stateside and PHAP) and research missions at both the Cal State East Bay Hayward campus and Concord site requires the maintenance of shared facilities/equipment and a culture of safety. This instructional support position assists the Associate Dean in this work. This is a comprehensive position supporting the instructional laboratory sections in multiple departments within CSCI.  In particular, the individual will primarily serve the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the Department of Physics, with occasional support to other departments in CSCI, as needed. The majority of the courses offered in Chemistry and Biochemistry and Physics have a linked or separate laboratory component, and these departments routinely run 80-90 laboratory class sections a year. The timely and accurate preparation of lab materials for the experiments in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is the combined job of the department stockroom personnel and the incumbent of this position. The individual sought for this position will oversee operation of the Chemistry and Biochemistry stockroom, share responsibility for the daily preparation of chemical reagents and equipment for the Chemistry and Biochemistry classroom laboratory sections, and lead other Chemistry and Biochemistry stockroom staff.  The timely and accurate preparation of the instructional lab equipment in the Department of Physics is the shared responsibility of the incumbent and other CSCI support staff. Thus, the individual sought for this position will share responsibility for the weekly set-up of instructional lab equipment in the Department of Physics.

Math Psyc Stat Hub Office Manager East Bay
This Office Manager position provides administrative support to the MATH/PSYCH/STAT Hub, which includes the Departments of Mathematics, Psychology, and Statistics & Biostatistics. The Office Manager has significant autonomy in decision making regarding resolving common problems. Accountant III East Bay
Reporting to the General Accounting Manager, this position focuses primarily on University-wide and Auxiliaries activities, with an emphasis on preparation and filing of various tax returns, government reporting as well as another regulatory agency reporting. In addition, the Accountant III will be heavy-handed in the preparation and coordination of year-end close. This position performs advanced professional accounting work involving the application of accounting principles and practices to the resolution of a wide variety of complex accounting problems. The Accountant III serves as a high-level individual contributor providing expertise and providing lead work direction to other professional and/or technical staff.
Administrative Lead, School-Based Mental Health Grant (Temporary) East Bay
The Administrative Lead of the School-Based Mental Health grant is a leadership position for a $5,000,000 grant from January 2025 to December 31, 2029. Thus, this position requires 80% of time to be focused on leading the grant, and 15% of time to be focused on program and mission sustainability. The federally-funded grant is a collaboration between the Dean of the College of Education and Allied Studies (the PI), the Co-PI (Assistant Professor), and the following partners: Chabot Community College, San Leandro USD, San Lorenzo USD, Hayward USD, and the Cal State East Bay Community Counseling Clinic. The Administrative Lead will report directly to the Dean of the College of Education and Allied Studies, and they will receive ongoing tasks from this designee.
Grant Administration Specialist (Temporary/Part-Time) East Bay
The part-time position Grant Administration Specialist of the School-Based Mental Health grant is an administrative position for a $5,000,000 grant from January 2025 to December 31,2029, with no renewal. This is a temporary, grant-funded position that is annually renewed. The federally-funded grant is a collaboration between the dean of the College of Education and Allied Studies (the PI), the Co-PI (Assistant Professor), and the following partners: Chabot Community College, San Leandro Unified School District, San Lorenzo Unified School District, Hayward Unified School District, and the Cal State East Bay Community Counseling Clinic. This position will report to the Dean of the College of Education and Allied Studies, and will receive daily direction from his designee. The two primary duties of this position are to engage in grant administration and business processing of the grant.

The Financial Services department includes General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Student Financial & Cashier Services, Bay Card/University Club Services, Accounts Receivable, and Procurement & Support Services. This role is an Accountant I within the University Accounting unit. Reporting to the General Accounting Manager, this position primarily works within the Accounting & Fiscal Services General Accounting unit but may work in other Fiscal Services areas, including Accounts Payable, Auxiliary Organizations, and additional areas. The Accountant I job duties include but are not limited to: collecting, processing and analyzing accounting transactional data; working with both month-end and year-end processes; and coordinating with the completion of various auditor requests. In addition, this position assists in monitoring sponsored program financial activity and administration of Foundation funds.

SEAS Operations & Budget Coordinator East Bay
Student Equity and Success (SEAS) programs serve over 1,600 students. The program provides a caring and supportive environment, which promotes academic growth and personal development.  Programs housed with SEAS include Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), EXCEL, GANAS, PIAA, Renaissance Scholars Program (RSP and the Sankofa Scholars Program. SEAS programs provide student success initiatives designed to retain and graduate low income, first generation, and historically underserved student populations. Under the general direction of the Director, SEAS Programs, the SEAS Operations & Budget Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the operations and program maintenance of the SEAS programs, as well as the Associate Vice President’s cluster budget operations. The incumbent provides lead direction for the development and implementation of policies, procedures and services to ensure that the programs function effectively and efficiently.  Specifically, the incumbent will provide lead guidance to the SEAS Administrative Support team to ensure day to day duties are understood and carried out.
Student Equity and Success (SEAS) Office Manager East Bay
Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Renaissance Scholars Program (RSP) & Student Equity and Success (SEAS) Affinity Programs and the lead work direction of the SEAS Operations & Program Analyst, the SEAS Office Manager provides administrative assistant support to all SEAS programs. This includes but is not limited to providing front-line reception for students, staff, faculty and guests of the campus, while also providing administrative support to the SEAS staff members. This position will work closely with and assist in the lead work direction of student assistants, performing administrative tasks in support of the SEAS programs.
Director of Student Outreach East Bay
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Student Outreach is responsible for developing a marketing/recruitment plan and managing the student outreach program to attract an undergraduate class that meets the University's overall enrollment goals. Specific goals include generating prospects and engaging in coordinated outreach efforts to assure the enrollment of academically qualified students and provide service to the University's core region. This position is responsible for developing, executing, and assessing a prospective student communications plan; territory management and assessments; and working in close collaboration with Admissions, the Registrar, Financial Aid, and other campus partners. This position will hire, train, lead, manage and evaluate a staff of 12 full-time professionals. The Student Outreach Director will also serve as the lead representative for the University to outside constituents who are involved in enrollment management activities. This position also oversees the University Welcome Center.
Dean, College of Science East Bay
The College of Science currently houses ten academic departments as well as the School of Engineering and serves approximately 4,000 undergraduate and 660 graduate students. The college currently employees approximately 255 faculty (i.e., tenured/tenure-track professors and lecturers, and 50 staff members) with an operational budget of approximately $19M. Working with department chairs, the Dean provides an overall vision for the college; hires and supports faculty; builds and maintains quality academic programs; leads facilities planning for the college; manages the enrollment; engages in alumni relationships and leads the philanthropic work in the college; and has overall fiscal responsibility for the college budget.
Enrollment Marketing and Communications Specialist East Bay
The Enrollment Marketing and Communications Specialist reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management. This role is responsible for increasing student enrollment through the strategic use of digital communications strategies such as social media platforms and other online tools. Under the guidance of the AVP for Enrollment Management, the Enrollment Marketing and Communications Specialist will help enhance interest in applying to the university and retention by telling and sharing unique stories, promoting student success, and engaging alumni and the broader community.
Area Coordinator - Live-In Position East Bay
Serving as a student-facing member of the Division of Student Affairs, the work of the Area Coordinator (AC) is structured to support the Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Priorities of the university. Employed by the Department of Student Housing and Residence Life (SHRL), the AC is a full-time, 12-month live-in professional staff member. The AC is supervised by the Associate Director of Residence Life but also receives direction and support from the Assistant Director of Residence Life. AC’s at Cal State East Bay are expected to initiate “high-touch” front-line interaction with students as they develop formal and informal relationships. They are expected to build communities that focus on student learning and development, supporting students' need, and inclusivity for all students. AC’s provide direct oversight for their designated residential area and provide lead work direction to a student staff team. This position does not conform to a standard 9-5 work day and requires the individual to work evenings and weekends to best meet the needs of the community.
Locksmith East Bay
Under general supervision, incumbents in this classification perform the full range of skilled journey-level locksmith work. Incumbents assist in the development of master key systems and the design of special security devices and are independently responsible for the implementation and maintenance of these programs. Incumbents may provide instruction and lead direction to unskilled and semi-skilled assistants.
Director of Procurement East Bay
The Director of Procurement reports to the Associate Vice President for Financial Services and serves as the Chief Procurement Officer for Cal State East Bay. The position provides management, administration, and supervision for Procurement & Contract Services. Serve as key campus representative to interface and maintain strong communication and partnership with Chancellor’s Office legal team on procurement and contracts matters. Builds and fosters internal relationships with the campus departments, and externally with suppliers, regulatory agencies, the Chancellor’s Office, and other campuses to deliver strategic support to the campus departments. Identify and integrate creative solutions such as “procure to pay” (P2P), expansion of the university credit card program, strategic sourcing, eProcurement, contract management and vendor management.. Utilizes comprehensive campus and market data to identify strategic relationships, value-added solutions, manage strategic priorities. Be an active participating member and provide support to the CSU Chief Procurement Officers Association (CPOA). Develops, interprets, and applies policies, guidelines and procedures and ensures compliance with all standards and regulations of the CSU and State of California.
