Assistant Professor of Engineering Management/Industrial Engineering East Bay
The School of Engineering at CSUEB offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering and Construction Management. Graduate degrees are also offered in Engineering Management and Construction Management. This position is for a tenure track position for an assistant professor in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management starting in Fall of 2025. The School of Engineering is within the College of Science. It enjoys widespread support among local industry, including an Advisory Board with representation from major local firms.
Accounting Technician II East Bay
This position is under the supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager and is primarily in the Accounts Payable unit.  However, duties may also include support within other areas within Fiscal Services. The Accounting Tech II position is responsible for processing invoices for all AP payments, along with auditing travel reimbursements in current system. This lead position helps with any campus community questions, in addition to supporting the Accounts Payable Manager as needed for things like the trial register review, handling other tasks when the manager is out.  The incumbent will handle various trainings as it applies to travel, and hospitality policies.  Duties will also include the maintenance of AP records.
Temporary Office Support Pool East Bay
This announcement establishes a one-year temporary, on-call Office Support Pool.  Assignments typically vary in duration from one day to three months but may last as long as six months, and are generally between 20 and 40 hours per week.  Office Support employees perform a variety of office duties including a full range of receptionist duties, typing, data entry, budget, filing, copying, opening/sorting/distributing mail, faxing, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, etc.  Duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the hiring department. Print Center Analyst (Temporary) East Bay
Individuals work under general supervision and perform the most complex, technical and/or specialized work requiring extensive reprographics experience and advanced knowledge and expertise. This position requires a broad and specialized knowledge base within reprographics, printing and copying.
MESA Program Coordinator (Temporary) East Bay
The MESA Program Coordinator works closely with the MESA Director to lead Cal State East Bay’s MESA College Prep Program with a goal to serve approximately 600 middle and high school students and 30 teachers across Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. The MESA College-Prep Program provides students with hands-on, real-world opportunities to explore in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). By working in middle and high schools, MESA enables historically underrepresented and excluded students to prepare for and graduate from a four-year college or university with a STEM-based degree in areas such as engineering, the sciences, computer science, and mathematics. Through MESA, students develop academic and leadership skills, increase educational performance, and gain confidence in their ability to compete. MESA is focused on students from groups who historically have had the lowest levels of attainment to four-year and graduate level programs.
Cognitive Development Laboratory Coordinator (Temporary/Part-Time) East Bay
This position will serve as a Cognitive Development Laboratory Coordinator in the Psychology Department at Cal State East Bay's College of Science. The Laboratory conducts research on cognitive development, which typically involves collecting data with adult participants and minors. The position will be responsible for coordinating lab activities (e.g. preparing online surveys, scheduling and overseeing data collection sessions (e.g. serving as point of contact at the location, setting up research materials, tracking participation, cleaning up and storing research materials at the conclusion of the session), processing, maintaining relevant paperwork, coordinating schedules of several student research assistants, keeping track of laboratory supplies, etc.). The Laboratory Coordinator will keep in close communication with the Principal Investigator so that progress can be monitored and tasks may be adjusted as necessary.
Project Lead East Bay
Under the general direction of the Director of Planning, Design, and Construction, the Project Lead is responsible for managing design and construction activities for minor and major capital outlay projects. Typical projects include new construction, renovation, capital renewal, deferred maintenance, and campus user requested projects. Examples of projects may include but are not limited to: new building, interior/exterior renovation, mechanical, electrical and plumbing system retrofit/replacement, utilities infrastructure upgrades, and interior finish upgrades/replacement.

College of Letters, Arts & Social Sciences Lecturer Pool AY 24-25 (for CLAS 105 course) East Bay
** This position will specifically teach a general CLASS course, CLAS 105 (Class Acts).** The College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences is looking to hire part-time lecturers to serve as the instructor for CLAS 105: Class Acts: Navigating the First Year Experience, a required course for all first-year students majoring in CLASS degree programs. The course is geared to the student body at CSUEB, addressing topics pertaining to first-year student success while integrating a social justice focus and building a community of students within the classroom for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.
Grant Administration Specialist (Temporary) East Bay
The Grant Administration Specialist of the K-16 East Bay Collaborative is a temporary administrative position funded by a $4,000,000 grant from January 2024 to June 30, 2025, with no renewal. This state-funded grant is a collaboration between the Dean of the College of Education and Allied Studies (the Co-PI) and the following partners: San Francisco State, San Jose State, UC Berkeley, Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, Chabot College, Las Positas College, Contra Costa Community College District, San Leandro USD, Oakland USD, and several faculty and administrators on the Cal State East Bay campus. This position will report to the Dean of the College of Education and Allied Studies. The two primary duties of this position are to engage in grant administration and business processing of the grant.
Associate Counselor (Pool) East Bay
Associate Counselors, under the supervision of the Director of Counseling and their clinical supervisor, provide intake assessments, crisis intervention, and short-term individual and couples counseling to students of the University. They work collaboratively with counseling and medical staff to help students maintain optimum mental and physical health. The Associate Counselor may also provide group counseling and outreach presentations to the campus community in partnership with licensed clinical staff. This recruitment will be used to establish a pool of candidates for current and future temporary positions. These are temporary, part-time (0.60 time-base) positions through May 23, 2025, with the possibility of reappointment. This appointment cannot exceed 2 years in the position.

The counselor may also provide individual and group supervision to pre-licensed MFT, MSW, and PCC interns, and contributes to the overall training of the clinical staff through teaching seminars and mentorship. This recruitment will be used to establish a pool of candidates for current and future temporary positions. These are temporary, part-time (0.80 time-base) positions through May 23, 2025, with the possibility of reappointment.

Working under the supervision of the Director of Counseling, the Counselor in Housing provides intake assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term individual, group, and couples counseling to University Housing residents who are currently enrolled in classes. The Counselor designs and implements outreach programs and interventions, and serves as a liaison to University Housing and Residential Life. The Counselor contributes to the overall training of campus staff through workshops and mentorship. The Counselor works collaboratively with the Student Health and Counseling team, the University Housing and Residential Life team, and campus and community partners in a multidisciplinary approach to help students achieve and maintain optimum wellness. East Bay STEM Initiative Program Coordinator (Temporary) East Bay
The East Bay Science Initiative (EBSi) is funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Hispanic Serving Institutions STEM Grant. The purpose of this grant is to expand STEM opportunities, diversity STEM pathways, and prepare STEM majors for productive careers that enable them to contribute to their communities, the state of California and the nation. These efforts are key to institutional success in achieving our GI 2025 targets through creative implementation focused on the Chancellor’s Office Equity Goals and Priorities. The Program Coordinator will support and help advance four major goals: to provide intentional and coherent Freshman Year Experience academic programs and support for STEM majors; to recruit and prepare California Community College (CCC) students to attain Computer Science degrees from Cal State East Bay; to recruit and prepare CCC students to enter a STEM teaching career pipeline at Cal State East Bay; to develop the skills, pathways, and opportunities for juniors and seniors to attain paid internships relevant to their majors and career goals.
