Salary Range: $4,066.00/month to $5,752.00/month PLEASE NOTE: The starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $4,166.00/month to $4,635.00/month.

About the Position
The Graduate Programs Office has overall responsibility for all graduate programs offered in the College of Business and Economics. More specifically, it is responsible for oversight and compliance of all state-supported graduate programs offered by the College of Business and Economics, including the MBA with Concentrations in Analytics for Managers, Finance, General Business, Human Resources and Organization Behavior, Marketing Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Strategy and Innovation, the MS in Economics program, and the MSBA in Business Analytics program.
Under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, this position works with the Graduate Program Coordinators and supports the day-to-day operation of the CBE Graduate Programs office and its various graduate programs. This position also performs a broad range of administrative, technical, and analytical functions, including activities related to student recruitment, admissions, and progress to degree monitoring functions, graduate checks, database analysis and reporting to generate information for resource planning. This position is also involved in program promotional activities and events.
Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day operation of the office:
- Admission processing
- New student evaluation
- Graduation evaluation
- Manage Communication with Current and Prospective Students
- Provide administrative support to the needs of the Graduate Programs Office, and other college needs, as appropriate
- Answer incoming telephone calls and make outgoing telephone calls
- Assist students who drop-in to the office
- Create, sort, maintain and file student records
- Schedule Appointments
- Advise prospective and current students
Assist the program coordinators in student recruitment, enrollment and management:
- Maintenance of Enrollment Database
- Periodic Monitoring/Maintenance/Update of Website
- Support the backend processing, application and admission nurturing process, and help with application completion
- Support graduate fairs (organization and attendance)
Assist the program coordinators in generating data for scheduling of graduate courses:
- Develop the student progress summary database
- Generate data to produce demand-driven two year course schedules for all programs
- Support in developing roadmaps for various MBA Concentrations, MS in Economics, and MSBA
Assist the program coordinators to provide value added student service:
- Organize and support value added student Services (Bootcamps, Workshops, etc.)
- Organize and support College of Business & Economics Graduate Student Events
- Support the program coordinators with collection of marketing intelligence, as appropriate
Other tasks including:
- Responding to Graduate Programs survey requests from external sources (e.g., Princeton Review, Business Week, and U.S. News, etc.) and maintain the historical data files for review
- Administer fundamental testing (two Saturday’s per year), if administered
- Participation in commencement ceremony
- Promotional material review & update
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and familiarity with MBA and other College of Business & Economics graduate programs
- Ability to actively participate in outreach activities, including public speaking and presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated diplomatic skills
- Strong communication skills, including in-person, phone, and web-based communications

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge and Abilities:
Working knowledge of the methods and problems of organization and program management; research and interviewing techniques; principles of individual and group behavior; the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge of the organization, procedures and activities of the specific campus to which the position is assigned; and the basic principles, practices and major trends in the Student Services field to which assigned.
Ability to rapidly acquire a working knowledge of the specific objectives of the campus Student Services program and its relationship to the total campus operation; interpret and apply program rules and regulations; gather and analyze data; reason logically, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate recommendations; present clear and concise information orally and in written reports; and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, CSU administrators, student organizations and other private and public agencies.
Experience:
Equivalent of one year of experience in professional Student Services work at the entry trainee level. Equivalent amounts of graduate level job‑related education may be substituted for the required experience.
Education:
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job‑related field. Additional specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis.
Condition(s) of Employment
