We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Senior Director of Major Gifts (Campaign Sr. Director) to lead our major gift fundraising and campaign initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President for University Advancement, this senior leader will manage a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects, while supervising a talented team of development officers.
In partnership with the President, Provost, Deans, and the Cal State East Bay Educational Foundation Board, the Sr. Director will identify, cultivate, and solicit individual and institutional donors aligned with university priorities. The role includes setting team metrics, fostering collaboration, and advancing comprehensive campaign planning.
As Campaign Sr. Director, this position will also lead strategy development, strengthen volunteer and staff structures, and guide campaign execution. This is a Management Personnel Plan (MPP) role and serves at the pleasure of the President. |

Hourly Sign Language Interpreter POOL (Temporary & Intermittent)

The purpose of this position is to provide communication access via sign language interpreting services for students, faculty, staff and guests of the campus who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing. Sign language interpreting services may be needed in academic courses, meetings, office hours, student groups, and/or campus events. These services may be required to be provided remotely or on-site at one of Cal State East Bay’s three campuses: Hayward, Concord, and/or Oakland. This is an hourly, temporary, intermittent position. Work schedules may vary each academic term depending on operational needs. The incumbent may be required to work some weekend and evening hours as needed. |

The successful candidate will teach up to 15 contact hours per week in undergraduate laboratories and/or lectures, with assignments being consistent with the candidate’s expertise and training, as well as the specific needs of the Department. Most of our instructional needs will be in introductory chemistry courses. In addition to classroom teaching, the candidate will be expected to hold office hours for students and perform the other normal duties associated with teaching. M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry, applicants with degrees in related fields to chemistry will be considered if they have a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in chemistry or biochemistry. |
