SLHS Online/Hybrid Clinic Coordinator (Temporary)

The Clinical Coordinator role includes responsibilities in clinical education and leadership, recordkeeping and communication, student advising, including overseeing clinical practicum placements for all students in the newly established online/hybrid Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program. The Clinical Coordinator will be primarily responsible for individualized placement of students into educational and healthcare practicum rotations and will work collaboratively with other program leadership and faculty to ensure high quality clinical education is provided throughout the curriculum.
This is a temporary, part time, 20 hours per week position. |
EXCEL Academic Enrichment Counselor (Temporary)

EXCEL, a U.S. Department of Education Student Support Services Program, is a federal grant that provides low-income, first-generation college and disabled undergraduates with supportive academic services including academic advising, career and goal planning, multi-subject tutoring, scholarship guidance, graduate school advising, personal counseling and guidance on determining learning style and balancing academic and personal responsibilities. This position provides these services to a caseload of EXCEL students.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Affinity Programs, EXCEL and SEAS Engagement Initiatives, the EXCEL Academic Enrichment Counselor assists with student services work characterized by student advising and guidance in individual and group settings with an emphasis on undergraduate students. The incumbent assists students to resolve any problem(s) that affects their ability to be successful in their educational and career pursuits and make appropriate referrals to campus.
This is a grant-funded, full-time temporary three-year maximum position. The duration of the appointment cannot exceed three years from the date of hire. |

Academic Advisor - SSP III

The Academic Advisor plays a vital role in furthering Cal State East Bay's strategic goals, vision, mission, as well as with CSU-wide goals and initiatives. These outcomes are accomplished by delivering consistent, sophisticated and comprehensive academic advising services to students with majors and minors within the College of Science. This position provides students with accurate, timely advising and evaluation of coursework as applicable to the completion of their major, general education, and university graduation requirements. This position will also assist students in pursuing their educational and career goals through various steps such as career assessments, graduate school research, connecting with faculty advisors, and career services, etc. The advisor autonomously addresses and resolves student issues with evidence-based strategies and maintains student records to ensure they meet Title 5, CSU, and University degree requirements. They assist with academic petitions, guide degree progression, and work collaboratively with academic departments, the registrar, and other campus offices to tackle a variety of student challenges. Additionally, this role involves active participation in the development and execution of policies and strategic planning in the advising sphere, all aimed at promoting the success, persistence, and timely graduation of students within their specific college or department.
This position is a team member of the College of Science’s (CSCI) Student Service Center and will work closely with the coordinator of the CSCI student service center in training new colleagues (SSP advisors), facilitating transfer orientation, and facilitating group advising/workshops, and supporting new freshman and transfer students and may visit first-year classes for such purposes.
Advising at the Concord Center or representation at events held at other institutions may at times be required. |

Head Athletic Trainer

Under the general supervision of the Director of Athletics, the Head Athletic Trainer is responsible for the development, organization, and administration of the sports medicine program, including providing work direction to other athletic trainers, including assigning, monitoring and evaluating work; developing and monitoring the program budget, and maintaining and monitoring the medical records and progress of all student athletes. When injuries do occur, the Head Athletic Trainer serves as a first responder by recognizing and evaluating the injuries, and subsequently developing treatment and rehabilitation programs, incorporating the appropriate therapeutic modalities and use of rehabilitation and exercise equipment. Due to the nature of the work, the individual must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as well as, be available to travel with teams. |
Accessible Technology Initiative Coordinator / Application Support Administrator

Under the general supervision of the Sr. Dir., ITS/Application Support/Online Campus, The Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) Coordinator / Application Support Administrator is the lead position at CAUEB that coordinates logistic, reporting, remediating, and documentation efforts related to compliance with the CSU systemwide ATI guidelines and Title II compliance. The position is pivotal to ensuring that the campus’s established ATI business processes maintain continuity to improve access for all in compliance with state and federal laws. In addition, the ATI coordinator/ Application Support Administrator ensures that all CSU ATI reporting mandates and guidelines are met and documented, including annual reporting and campus planning, and ensures continuity of the ATI Steering Committee and Subcommittee meeting in the areas including but not limited to web, instructional materials, and procurement. Project management, including prioritization, and adherence to the Success Indicators on the ATI annual report across those priorities. The ATI Coordinator, in conjunction with the ATI Steering Committee members will launch ATI, develop new business practices and workflow processes and produce to address existing/low statuses and monitor progress on previously upgraded status indicators to maintain the assigned status level. The ATI coordinator is the lead in all aspects of campus ATI/Title II Compliance. The ATI Coordinator / Application Support Administrator also provides application and systems administration, project leadership, documentation and training, user support, and production support for projects/applications assigned by Sr. Dir; ITS Application Support/Online Campus. While providing primary support for some applications, the ATI Coordinator / Application Support Administrator is expected to have a high-level technical understanding of other supported applications. |
Hourly Real Time Captioner POOL (Temporary & Intermittent)

The purpose of this position is to provide communication access via real-time captioning services for students, faculty, staff and guests of the campus who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing. Services may be required on-site at one of Cal State East Bay’s three campuses: Hayward, Concord, and/or Oakland. Real-time captioning may be needed in academic courses, meetings, office hours, student groups, and/or campus events.
This is an hourly, temporary, intermittent position. Work schedules may vary each academic term depending on operational needs. This position may require working some weekend and evening hours as needed. |
