The Department of Social Work seeks one or more temporary, part-time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2024 and/or Spring Semester 2025. |
Lecturer Pool for Department of Psychology AY 24-25

The Department of Psychology usually has part-time positions open to teach undergraduate courses in all areas of psychology. Minimum requirement: Ph.D. in Psychology (or related field) or enrollment in a Ph.D. program with sufficient progress towards the degree is preferred. Candidates who possess a Master’s degree and teaching experience in an appropriate field will be considered.
Teaching assigned classes in psychology. Preparing syllabi and other course materials, planning class sessions and out-of-class activities, communicating with students and helping them with class material as appropriate, and holding regular office hours. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. The policy and expectation of the California State University is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California. |

Part-time positions teaching introductory courses in Geology and Environmental Science. Courses may include Earth Systems Science, Oceanography,
Meteorology, Environmental Biology, and Climate Change. Opportunities may occasionally
arise for teaching evening graduate classes in applied fields such as Engineering Geology.
Minimum requirement of M.S. in Geology, Environmental Science or its equivalent, or enrollment in a Ph.D. program in Geology, Environmental Science or its equivalent with sufficient progress towards the degree. |

For consideration, applicants must possess a graduate degree in a STEM discipline and have teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
