Lecturer Pool Department of Public Health AY25-26 East Bay
The Department of Public Health invites applications from part-time lecturers to teach undergraduate courses for students both within and outside the major. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis as instructional needs arise. The department welcomes applications from qualified candidates across a broad range of public health–related areas, including but not limited to health and medical humanities, health disparities and equity, bioethics, health law, health economics, health regulation, and health care payment systems. A doctoral-level degree, e.g. PhD, DrPH, MD, JD, or proof of candidacy for a doctorate is required; applicants with a Master’s Degree with accompanying certification and/or work experience will be considered. Candidates with experience teaching within a population perspective through a lens of social determinants are desired. The Department prefers applicants with teaching experience at the college/university level, primarily in-person. The policy and expectation of the California State University is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California.
Administrative Coordinator for Social Work East Bay
Under the limited direction of the Social Work Department Chair, this position independently coordinates and executes the full range of administrative and operational functions required to support a large and complex academic department serving 25–30 faculty and staff and several hundred undergraduate and graduate students. The incumbent is responsible for managing day-to-day departmental operations, interpreting and applying university policies and procedures, and ensuring continuity of services and workflow across all administrative areas. This position requires the ability to proactively navigate and coordinate multiple university systems, including budgeting, procurement, accounting, HR, the Dean’s Office, the Registrar, and other academic and administrative units to support departmental programs and resolve operational issues. The incumbent develops, implements, and maintains office procedures, tracking systems, and administrative processes to ensure organizational effectiveness, compliance with university requirements, and adherence to external accreditation standards. The role requires independent judgment, the ability to evaluate and improve administrative practices, and effective communication with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. In addition, the position will provide lead work direction to a Staff ASC I employee upon their hire. This is primarily an in-person, Monday–Friday position on the Hayward campus; limited telework may be approved in alignment with university policy and departmental needs. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support departmental and university events.
Temporary Office Support Pool East Bay
This announcement establishes a one-year temporary, on-call Office Support Pool.  Assignments typically vary in duration from one day to three months but may last as long as six months, and are generally between 20 and 40 hours per week.  Office Support employees perform a variety of office duties including a full range of receptionist duties, typing, data entry, budget, filing, copying, opening/sorting/distributing mail, faxing, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, etc.  Duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the hiring department. Qualified applicants will be placed on a list to be used to fill short-term temporary vacancies. APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED ARE KEPT ON FILE IN HUMAN RESOURCES FOR ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE RECEIVED.
GameZone and Esports Coordinator East Bay
Under supervision of the Director, Recreation, Wellbeing, & University Unions (RWUU), the GameZone and Esports Coordinator is responsible for the development and coordination of a comprehensive campus Esports / Gaming Program. The GameZone and Esports Coordinator supports general operations for the GameZone, including gaming consoles housed in the GameCave, and leisure games such as billiards, air hockey, card games and board games offered within the GameRoom. This position coordinates equipment needs for both the program and the facilities involved and collaborates with the Director to establish annual budget projections for acquisition, maintenance and repair. This position ensures procedures for minimizing risk and injury to participants while engaging in programs and services, and establishes protocol for reporting to the Director, Risk Management, and emergency response personnel when applicable. The GameZone and Esports Coordinator is responsible for providing lead work direction for the GameZone student staff including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and training the team to facilitate daily operations of the GameZone spaces. This position works closely with Recreation, Wellbeing, and University Union (RWUU) leadership to enhance student leadership development through training experiences focused on customer experience, outreach efforts, and skill acquisition, while also implementing regular assessment of student employee skills and measured growth. The position also collaborates with RWUU staff to develop annual reports, procedure manuals, and statistics for programs/facility usage. They work with RWUU staff to support data collection and evaluation of programmatic impact upon recruitment, retention, and graduation efforts.
SEVIS Records Coordinator & Student Engagement Advisor East Bay
The primary purpose of this position is to support our international students through coordination of activities, events, and workshops as well as serve as a DSO. The primary DSO function will be issue I-20's for newly admitted students and related functions. This role will support our admissions team and DSO's.
