Associate Counselor (Pool)	East Bay	April 30, 2025
Associate Counselors, under the supervision of the Director of Counseling and their clinical supervisor, provide intake assessments, crisis intervention, and short-term individual and couples counseling to students of the University. They work collaboratively with counseling and medical staff to help students maintain optimum mental and physical health. The Associate Counselor may also provide group counseling and outreach presentations to the campus community in partnership with licensed clinical staff. Patient Support Services Lead	East Bay	April 28, 2025
Under the general direction of the Student Health Services Director, the Patient Support Services Lead (Registered Nurse III) is responsible for the operation and oversight of Patient Support Services. This includes but is not limited to front office duties of reception, patient intake and medical records, back office clinical support duties and clinical laboratory functions. This position also provides some skilled nursing services and performs Public Health activities for both the Hayward and Concord campus communities. This position may require occasional coverage at Cal State East Bay’s Concord campus.
Academic Advising Trainee - 4 Positions (Temporary)	East Bay	April 22, 2025	August 22, 2025
This Academic Advising position is a trainee position under the Student Services Professional (SSP) IA classification, an entry-level classification in the SSP series. This position will serve in a trainee capacity that is not to exceed 12 months. Upon successful completion of training and satisfactory performance under the SSP IA classification, this position may, at the discretion of the appropriate administrator and based on university needs, evolve to the next classification level – SSP IB and be expected to perform similar duties with greater independence and under more limited supervision. Permanent status cannot be earned in a trainee position. This Student Services Professional IA trainee position is a temporary, grant-funded, full-time position with the possibility of reappointment for a maximum of one year from the date of hire.
Embedded Counselor Faculty	East Bay	November 18, 2024
Working under the supervision of the Director of Counseling, Embedded Counselors provide intake assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term individual, and couples, and group counseling to currently enrolled students. The Counselor in Housing works with on campus residents, and the Counselor in SEAS works with SEAS program participants. Embedded Counselors design and implement outreach programs and interventions, and serve as liaisons to their specific departments. The counselors contribute to the overall training of campus staff through workshops and mentorship, and may also provide individual and group supervision to pre-licensed MFT, MSW, and PCC interns.
Bachelor of Social Work Practicum Liaison (Temporary)	East Bay	October 23, 2024
The Department of Social Work seeks a temporary, Full-Time Practicum Liaison/Lecturer to support our new BSW program, launching in Fall 2025. The Practicum Liaison position is a temporary, twelve-month, full-time lecturer appointment reporting to the Practicum Director. The Practicum Liaison is expected to: teach practicum classes, work with agency supervisors to maintain and develop practicum placements within the social work community; and manage and supervise students conducting practicum work.
