| This position serves as the primary point of contact for the Education Administrative Support Office in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences (CLASS). It covers a wide range of administrative, clerical, and general office support with varying levels of complexity.
This position provides front-line customer service and operational support for the Education Administrative Support Office and serves as the primary point of contact for visitors, students, faculty, and staff. This role oversees daily office operations; coordinates routine administrative processes; and ensures accurate tracking and documentation of college activities. The position supports academic departments through tasks such as syllabus collection, faculty office hour posting, scholarship tracking, procurement card oversight, room scheduling, and permit distribution. This position also assists with purchasing, facilities requests, and maintaining college directories, while providing responsive support for special projects and other duties as assigned. |

| The Department of Public Health invites applications from part-time lecturers to teach undergraduate courses for students both within and outside the major. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis as instructional needs arise. The department welcomes applications from qualified candidates across a broad range of public health–related areas, including but not limited to health and medical humanities, health disparities and equity, bioethics, health law, health economics, health regulation, and health care payment systems. A doctoral-level degree, e.g. PhD, DrPH, MD, JD, or proof of candidacy for a doctorate is required; applicants with a Master’s Degree with accompanying certification and/or work experience will be considered. Candidates with experience teaching within a population perspective through a lens of social determinants are desired. The Department prefers applicants with teaching experience at the college/university level, primarily in-person. The policy and expectation of the California State University is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California. |

| The Office of University Advancement includes various departments that work together to maximize philanthropic support to the University, heighten the University’s visibility in the community, and actively engage alumni in the life of the University. The University Advancement – Development team is responsible for securing all levels and types of private support including annual gifts, major gifts, corporate gifts and planned gifts.
Under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Major Gifts, the Director of Development will be responsible for directing a full-spectrum of development and fundraising activities at the University level and specific to an assigned College (and other Colleges and programs as assigned). The Director of Development will focus primarily on securing individual major gift support ($25,000+) and, to a lesser degree, will facilitate garnering corporate and foundation support. With a high degree of independent judgement, the Director of Development is expected to conduct an average minimum of two visits per week, requiring extensive travel and attendance at evening and weekend events.
The Director of Development will strategically move prospects and donors through the major gift fundraising cycle (i.e., identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship) while also building a small pipeline of high-end Leadership Annual Giving donors; thereby maintaining a robust Prospect/Donor Portfolio. The Director of Development will maintain a portfolio of 75-95 prospects/donors at the various fundraising/development stages.
The Director of Development will work collaboratively with the assigned dean(s), department chairs, faculty, university leaders, and Sr. Director of Major Gifts to plan, articulate, and implement a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan to raise funds to meet the educational mission of the university and assigned college(s), programs, and areas. |

Administrative Coordinator for Social Work

| Under the limited direction of the Social Work Department Chair, this position independently coordinates and executes the full range of administrative and operational functions required to support a large and complex academic department serving 25–30 faculty and staff and several hundred undergraduate and graduate students. The incumbent is responsible for managing day-to-day departmental operations, interpreting and applying university policies and procedures, and ensuring continuity of services and workflow across all administrative areas.
This position requires the ability to proactively navigate and coordinate multiple university systems, including budgeting, procurement, accounting, HR, the Dean’s Office, the Registrar, and other academic and administrative units to support departmental programs and resolve operational issues. The incumbent develops, implements, and maintains office procedures, tracking systems, and administrative processes to ensure organizational effectiveness, compliance with university requirements, and adherence to external accreditation standards. The role requires independent judgment, the ability to evaluate and improve administrative practices, and effective communication with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
In addition, the position will provide lead work direction to a Staff ASC I employee upon their hire. This is primarily an in-person, Monday–Friday position on the Hayward campus; limited telework may be approved in alignment with university policy and departmental needs. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support departmental and university events. |

| This position provides comprehensive, day-to-day administrative support to the AVP of ORSP, ensuring the efficient operation of the office. Responsibilities include managing a range of administrative and operational functions that support both the AVP and the broader office. The role requires a broad understanding of campus, state, and federal guidelines to ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance. Key duties include processing purchase orders, reimbursements, and other financial transactions in accordance with CSU policies, working collaboratively with campus departments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation. The incumbent also monitors expenditures and prepares financial and data reports as needed. Additionally, this position oversees student assistants, including hiring, onboarding, and providing day-to-day guidance and support for their work. |
