The Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences at California State University, Fullerton, invites applications for a tenure‐track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Decision Sciences with appointment to begin Fall 2020.

CSUF faculty are committed teacher/scholars who bring research and creative discovery to life for students in classrooms, labs, studios, and individually mentored projects. They teach broadly in the curricula of their departments, advise students, and serve on departmental and university-wide committees. The primary responsibilities of the person in this position will include the development and teaching of introductory and core courses in the discipline, and the development of courses in their area(s) of specialization. Specific courses that this person will teach include undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Systems and Business Analytics. This person will also be responsible for producing scholarship / creative work commensurate with the requirements for tenure. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to and participate in the life and development of the department, advise students, serve on committees, and participate in the broader university and disciplinary communities.

Mihaylo College of Business & Economics is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. There are over 150 full-time faculty members and 8,500 students, including more than 600 graduate students. Bachelor’s degrees are offered in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting, Business Analytics, Decision Sciences, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Entertainment & Tourism, Finance, Management (Operations, General, and Human Resources), Information Systems, Marketing, and International Business, among others. Master’s degrees are offered in Business Administration (MBA), Economics, Information Systems, Information Technology, Accounting, and Taxation. The Department consists of a diverse group of faculty with specialties in areas of Management Information Systems, Business Statistics and Management Science. The Department’s faculty members conduct high-quality research and publish in leading Information Systems outlets including the senior scholars’ basket of 8 IS journals and journals on the Financial Times 45 list. We offer three concentrations: Information Systems, Business Analytics and Decision Sciences. We teach in the undergraduate business and MBA programs as well as in two specialized Master of Science degree programs. The Department currently offers a core course in each of these three areas, each of which is required by all business majors. The Department has received national and international recognition through faculty publications, presentations, and editorial activities. The AIS recently ranked our college 51st in the USA and 2nd in California in IS research productivity in top journals. Our online MS in Information Technology program is ranked 9th in the USA and 1st in California by U.S. News & World Report. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications, and is subject to budgetary authorization and any California State University System faculty contract increases.
