Assistant Director, Black Resource Center Long Beach
Under the supervision of the Director, Office of Belonging and Inclusion (OBI) the incumbent will provide support and coordination that impacts the success of the Black Resource Center and its culturally diverse students. In collaboration with campus entities, the Assistant Director will lead and coordinate the planning and development of programs designed specifically for students who identify as Black, Pan-African and/or African descent and providing the general campus with the opportunity to increase its awareness of the Black community experience.
Academic Advisor Long Beach
Under general supervision, the individual will provide comprehensive academic advising to undergraduates in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics with particular emphasis on assigned caseload of pre-majors. The individual will provide information about University policies, procedures and regulations to students; assist in the implementation and personal delivery of various academic advising programs/program information, workshops, and computer-based advising systems; and work on issues related to retention and progress of students. This individual will participate in multiple college and university student success programs including but not limited to Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration, CNSM SAFARI to Success, Science and Math Enrichment Program, Mandatory Freshman Advising, Freshmen Scholars Learning Community, and CNSM Early Warning Advising Programs. The incumbent will promote the principles of “growth mindset” model and metacognitive learning strategies.
Office Coordinator Long Beach
The Department of Biological Sciences is composed of approximately 27 full-time faculty and 33 lecturers with 35teaching associates and instructional assistants, 3 office staff, 1 student services professional and 8 technical staff. The Department employs approximately 30 work study and student assistants each semester. The Department has approximately 1300 undergraduate majors in 5 degrees and options and 70 graduate students pursuing the Master of Science degree in either Biology or Microbiology. The Administrative Support Coordinator is the initial contact in the Department of Biological Sciences for students, faculty, administrators, and the public. Approximately 2600 students enroll in Biological Sciences classes each semester, many of whom contact this office for answers to questions and assistance with problems concerning enrollment, Department/University policies and procedures, or directions.

BMAC Case Manager Long Beach

Analyst Programmer Long Beach
The Analyst Programmer will serve as a key technical member on the Student Systems team responsible for implementing and maintaining software systems and interfaces to various student information systems including PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
