Under the supervision of the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Director, the Associate Director shares responsibilities with the Director for the leadership of CAPS which includes Survivor Advocacy Services (SAS). In collaboration with the Director, the Associate Director shares responsibility in the management of clinical policies, procedures and records and center accreditation. The Associate Director supervises clinical members of the Counseling Services staff as well as administrative support staff, provides supervision for graduate level interns and manages the department in the absence of the Director. As a member of the clinical staff, the Associate Director provides counseling, consultation, educational outreach, and urgent-response services to students and the University community in support of the mission of CAPS and the division of Student Affairs. The Associate Director is responsible for assisting with the overall administration of CAPS, including: the assessment of student counseling needs; the advertising, development and facilitation of the unit's services and programs; personnel management and fiscal planning. |
