The SEPAL – Science Education Partnership and Assessment Laboratory – Program & Assessment Coordinator is a key team member and collaborator on grant-funded efforts in science education. Community Service Specialist - (Community Service Specialist) - University Police San Francisco
The Community Service Specialist serves as a visible security presence on the campus, and within its buildings as assigned, performs security services such as patrolling campus on foot, bike or vehicle to protect campus community and visitors, provides public safety support and assistance to campus police, enforces campus ordinances and parking regulations, and issues citations to violators. Under the general supervision of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Services Coordinator, Sign-Language Interpreters provide communication access sign-language interpreting (SLI) to Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing individuals, including students, faculty, staff, and university guests. Research Lab and Field Analyst (Research Technician I - Non-Exempt) - Office of Research and Sponsored Programs/Biology San Francisco
The Anand Lab at San Francisco State University is seeking candidates for Research Technician I to conduct original research in microbiome characterization of wastewater and related environments with a focus on phage and host interaction. This is a high reward project using the latest molecular and computational approaches to identify a broad range of phages from wastewater samples, including those associated with pathogens. The work is in port funded by the Department of Energy and works closely with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, The ideal candidate will have substantial knowledge of molecular biology and genomics, demonstrated success as recent undergraduate in microbiology, creative out-of-the box thinking, and willingness to join and work with a large, highly collaborative research team exploring everything from global viral monitoring, computational biology, phage therapeutics and new vaccine discovery.

The Police Dispatcher is a specialized classification within police departments which provides essential dispatch communications and records maintenance. Dispatchers are responsible for maintaining effective and efficient communications between campus law enforcement headquarters, campus police officers in the field, outside emergency and law enforcement agencies, and the public. Incumbents in this position receive, record and dispatch general and emergency information quickly, clearly, and accurately. Incumbents at this level typically have a higher degree of accountability for the dispatch and records functions. Buyer II - (Buyer II) - Procurement San Francisco
Reporting to the Director of Procurement and under the general direction of more senior buyers, the Buyer II position involves responsibility for routine procurement activity for which there are generally well-defined instructions, models, and precedents. Typical assignments involve procurement of basic supplies, equipment and services. Duties may include some clerical tasks, but most of the responsibility is of a technical nature related to purchasing and/or expediting purchases to ensure goods/services are properly received within the required timeframe. Delegated procurement authority is limited and clearly defined. The Buyer II may research and confirm pricing based on telephone quotes or informal written proposals, place orders, input electronic purchasing data, and process other purchasing documentation, review transactions and documentation for compliance with policy. Assist and provide information to others regarding the procurement process. Purchasing of commodities of a technical and specialized nature and/or developing ordinary contracts, service agreements, or leases. Items or services purchased may range from those acquired directly from the vendor/contractor with little or no modification to unique, scarce or custom-made items requiring creative development of original specifications, with minimal supervision or assistance. Resolution of conflicts between providers and end-users is an integral part of this position. The Buyer II may be assigned lead responsibility for lower level purchasing or clerical staff in carrying out assignments.
Assistant Director of Employee Accommodation (Administrator I) - Office of Human Resources San Francisco

Basic Needs Program Coordinator (Student Services Professional III) - Food+Shelter+Success San Francisco
Under the general supervision of the Director for the Basic Needs Office the Basic Needs Program Coordinator (BNPC) supports the development and implementation of SF State’s student basic needs programming aimed at addressing student food and housing insecurity. The BNPC is responsible for the planning, coordination, daily operations, and evaluation of these diverse student programs in collaboration with on- and off-campus partners. The BNPC will oversee the FSS request for services intake form and help navigate student referrals to the rest of the FSS team. This also includes working with the financial aid office to allocate homeless prevention funds and basic needs emergency funds to students needing this resource. The BNPC works collaboratively to further develop sustainable student programs that promotes dignity, minimizes marginalization, advances student success, and focuses on closing the educational equity gap for an ethnically and culturally diverse student population. The incumbent is responsible for marketing and outreach to increase visibility of student challenges and resources in a manner that promotes health equity, social justice, cultural humility, and diversity concepts. The BNPC also supervises student assistants, and/or advises student volunteers.
