The Department of Child and Adolescent Development (CAD) at San Francisco State University invites applications for part-time lecturer faculty positions (non-tenure track) in Child and Adolescent Development.
This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time, temporary, assignments on an as-needed basis, beginning Fall 2023 & Spring 2024.
Through a social justice lens, CAD values teaching and experiential learning that incorporates diversity of background and experiences, current and relevant research, and high-quality instruction. The CAD curriculum is designed to ensure that diversity and cultural issues are a strong and continuing theme throughout the core coursework, which prepares students to be competent professionals in their work as advocates for children, youth, and families. Our emphasis on creating a diverse workforce with a high level of knowledge and competency applies to all of our undergraduate programs. We actively engage with our stakeholders to ensure the CAD major is meeting the needs of students, the community, and professionals in the field.
CAD core courses introduce students to basic and advanced developmental theories and their applications, while the concentrations provide specialized knowledge that builds upon core knowledge and application. Please see the following link for the list of CAD courses:

Salary
Lecturer A/2 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $4,530 – $6,056 per month
Lecturer B/3 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $5,405 – $11,994 per month
Lecturer C/4 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,190 – $13,172 per month
Lecturer D/5 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $7,794 – $13,797 per month
Anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.
