Position Summary:

If you are passionate about computer technology and eager to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply for this Computer Specialist position at the University of Dayton Research Institute. Together, we can push the boundaries of innovation and shape the future of applied sensing.

This position will be responsible for working as part of a diverse and skilled technical team to rapidly integrate, test, and demonstrate hardware and software systems into a functional whole. The ability to obtain a United States SECRET clearance (or higher) is required for ongoing employment in this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Completed Bachelor's Applied Science (or higher)
2. Familiarity with IT management tools;
3. Successful experience interacting with Windows and Linux OS;
4. Effective written and verbal communication skills;
5. Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

1. Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a technical field
2. Relevant computer certifications
3. Demonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) installing, configuring, and working in Windows and Linux environments
4. Demonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) developing software applications specifically designed for use in multi platform (e.g. Windows and Linux) environments
5. Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skills
6. Active US SECRET (or higher) clearance
