The position is responsible for overseeing the Jewish Studies major and minor, as well as the Jewish Studies curriculum that is taken by every student at Yeshiva University’s undergraduate women’s campus, and ensuring that they align with and contribute to the mission of Yeshiva University. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader who will guide the department in achieving its multifaceted mission: to instill skills and knowledge of Torah/Jewish Studies in our students, to inspire a sense of purpose in them, and to foster a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their lives. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of both scholarly publication and outward-facing communal engagement that will enable the candidate to become an ambassador for the institution and a key contributor to the leadership team of Stern College.
