Position Summary:
|
Provides assistance in the maintenance of the infrastructure systems; provides maintenance, troubleshooting and repair services on all of the University’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Skills & Competencies:
|
- Capable of lifting, pushing and carrying various heavy tools, equipment and material
- Climb, balance, kneel, stoop or crouch to gain access to pipes, valves and equipment
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Must adhere to operational safety rules and regulations as deemed by the University
- Must be able to follow directives and possess good communication skills and ability to interact with building/office occupants effectively
- Must be able to provide coverage on weekends and emergencies including severe weather emergencies.
- Mechanical aptitude in servicing HVAC and building equipment
- Knowledge of proper and improper operation of heating and cooling systems and their components
- Competence to start and stop various systems
- Knowledge of chemical treatment procedures and testing
- Knowledge of boilers and associated equipment
