Position Summary:       

Stern College for Women is seeking adjunct instructors for a variety of academic departments in our midtown Manhattan location. Courses are offered in fall and spring semesters.  

Position Responsibilities:

Teach up to two undergraduate courses in-person up to twice a week, in one or more of the following areas:

  • Art History and Studio Arts
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Computer Science
  • Economics
  • English
  • History
  • Jewish Studies
  • Mathematics
  • Philosophy
  • Physics
  • Political Science
  • Psychology
  • Sociology
  • Speech Pathology & Audiology
  • Statistics

Other position responsibilities:

  • Administration of all exams
  • Grade all exams and assignments by university deadlines
  • Meet and mentor students

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Graduate-level degree in a related field
  • Experience teaching undergraduate students preferred

Skills & Competencies:

Experience teaching undergraduate students
