Department Overview:

This position will support the research efforts of the Department of Botany, specifically the laboratory of Chris Muir.

Qualifications:

Completed introductory course work in Biology
Proficient with Google Docs and Sheets

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to read scientific papers and understand research methods
Ability to carefully follow detailed protocols to check and enter data into standardized formats
Good verbal and communication skills

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The assistant will read peer-reviewed papers and screen them based on established criteria. They will then transfer data from papers that pass the screening process into Google Docs and Sheets. They will communicate regularly with PI Muir to ask questions and provide updates on their progress.
