8 to 15 hours during the academic year; up to 30 hour durng the summer

Schedule:

The schedule is to be determined by the manager to work around academic commitments.
CALS IT office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

$15.00 - $17.00

A good candidate should possess the following attributes:
- Good Customer Service Skills
- A Desire to Learn and an aptitude to learn new IT skills
- A basic knowledge of standard computer skills.
-Organizational Skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work within a team and independently.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

This Student Desktop Support Assistant position provides computer support for CALS faculty and staff. The primary job duties include:
- Assist in creating workspaces for faculty and staff with hardware setups.
-Provide quality hardware and software support troubleshooting for both Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Assist with maintaining an accurate asset management system throughout our expanding support group.
- Create documentation for both within the CALS IT community and for the people we support.
- Other miscellaneous projects and duties as directed.

Physical Demands:

Students must be able to lift and carry at least 30 lbs.
