**start and end dates are flexible - apply if you're interested!** The student assistants will contribute to research on how leaf form and function evolves in response to different environments. They will help on multiple projects including hands-on plant cultivation in controlled environments, collecting data on plant traits, and processing data on the computer. No previous research experience required. |

Schedule:

The earliest start date is May 19 and can go the entire summer. Students are expected to work during the day on a schedule discussed with mentors. Students will also be expected to participate in weekly lab meetings to discuss research and present results. |

Qualifications:
|
- Must be be available to work on campus for much of May, June, July, and August - Interest in ecology, evolution, botany, and/or related fields demonstrated through coursework and/or previous employment |
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Ability to pay attention to detail and follow instructions of research protocols - Ability to perform repetitive tasks - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills - Able to work with a diverse team in shared spaces
