Schedule:
|
The successful candidate will be expected to work approximately 10 hours a week with a pre-determined agreed upon schedule. The laboratory assistant will be expected to work during normal business hours until a period of training is completed, at which time some schedule flexibility will be allowed if evening or weekend hours are desired. |

Undergraduate student currently enrolled at UW-Madison in good academic standing |

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
|
The qualified applicant will be responsible, reliable, and able to work independently after completion of training. Good communication, organization, and record-keeping skills are essential.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
|
-Stocking and distributing laboratory supplies
-Making buffers
-Washing and sterilizing glassware
-Performing daily and weekly maintenance tasks to ensure the lab runs efficiently and effectively
|
|
Physical Demands:
|
Ability to engage in light to medium work that involves occasionally lifting/carrying objects 10 lbs or less and pushing/pulling objects up to 50 lbs.
|
