Schedule:

Work schedule is determined by student availability, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mon. through Fri, with mornings preferred. We are flexible and try to accommodate scheduling around the student’s academic needs.

Qualifications:

Technically inclined self-starter with strong customer service skills. Must be a respectful, dependable, good communicator with a desire to learn new technology. Must be enrolled at UW-Madison, Madison Area Technical College, or other academic institution.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and experience supporting both Windows and Mac computer systems. Other beneficial skills include software installation and troubleshooting experience, malware/virus remediation, printer deployment and troubleshooting and familiarity with computer networks, file sharing, computer imaging and Microsoft Active Directory. Familiarity with web conferencing platforms Zoom, WebEx, and Microsoft Teams

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Provide technical assistance to SMPH Anesthesiology faculty and staff.

Duties may include:
Responding to service requests using a web-based ticketing system.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Maintaining an inventory database that tracks IT resources.
Performing computer setup and moves including desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, etc.
Providing web conferencing support for SMPH Anesthesiology faculty and staff using multiple sing web conferencing technologies.

Lift 30 pounds
Push a cart
Walk up to twenty minutes at a time
