Department Overview:

The Wisconsin Professional and Executive MBA Programs are designed to meet the needs of working professionals who pursue their MBA degree. Our MBA programs combine a first-class education with the opportunity to implement practical learning.

Anticipated Hours Per Week:

Minimum: 15 Maximum: 30

Schedule:

20 - 30 hours weekly during the summer (May - September 1). 10 - 15 hours weekly during the academic year. Schedule is varied with some nights and weekends required.

SPECIAL NOTE:
You will need to be available to work the following times:
-->Every Wednesday evening (5:30pm-9pm) and one Saturday or Sunday (7:30 am - 4:30 pm each day) per month - generally the third weekend of the month.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

Qualifications:

Applicants for the position must have:
• High attention to detail and precision
• Great customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with MS Outlook/Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Zoom and Teams video conferencing tools
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Enjoy working with technology

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Essential to this position is the ability to provide excellent customer service, have attention to detail, and provide solutions as well as tactful communication and a pleasant demeanor under pressure. Individuals who enjoy working with details and providing excellent customer service are good candidates. This position provides outstanding opportunities to build a resume and develop skills in a professional setting.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Provide frontline support to the MBA & Master's students and instructors during class times
• Troubleshoot and solve issues with student BYOD devices
• Assist students with OneNote, Teams, Google Docs, and other collaboration tools
• Create and maintain email Google groups
• Review and analyze student data as needed
• Review and analyze conferencing software reports
• Handle confidential student information

Physical Demands:

Student Assistants must be able to easily move between groups of students and classrooms when providing support in-person, listen to students technology concerns, communicate verbally with program staff and students, and work at a computer for several hours per day.
