Qualifications:
|
• Applicants must be an admitted UW–Madison student as of August 1, 2025. • Able to work 6-8 hours per week while classes are in session; potential for work over winter, spring, and summer break. Exact hours to be determined between supervisor and intern. • Able to work independently, and as a member of an effective team. |
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Able to provide professional, consistent, and individualized customer service. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to contribute to discussion on how to improve School of Nursing engagement on campus and beyond. • Strong communication skills to present information, answer questions, and listen to concerns raised by constituents. • Able to create a welcoming and inclusive experience for alumni, donors, and visitors. • Knowledge and understanding of the School of Nursing (or strong interest in learning about it). • Passionate about building relationships and making connections. • Proficiency in current Google Suite or Microsoft Office software (spreadsheets, word processing, email, etc.) • Self-directed, flexible, willing to learn, and able to receive and give constructive feedback • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Ability to set and meet deadlines.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
|
• Work closely with the School of Nursing’s Advancement and Alumni Relations Manager to offer engagement, mentorship, and networking opportunities to nursing alumni and donors. • Develop communication assets, content, and tools directed to nursing alumni, current students, and stakeholders. • Support School of Nursing events that steward alumni, donors, and visitors. • Professionally communicate with current and prospective students, alumni, and friends of the School of Nursing through phone, email, video conference, and social media to maintain and enhance interest and engagement.

• Ability to help move furniture and other event supplies.
