Department Overview:

SuccessWorks at the College of Letters & Science is responsible for providing career advising and internship/job search assistance to the approximately 18,000 undergraduate students within the College of Letters & Science. Among our many services, we offer career and internship advising, programming and events, undergraduate career courses, and growing connections to UW’s vast alumni network and employers.

Anticipated Hours Per Week:

Minimum: 10 Maximum: 12

Schedule:

Weekly schedules occur during standard work hours (Mondays - Fridays between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm). Hours are flexible to accommodate a student’s schedule as needed. The intern may also be required to assist with some student programming or events outside of normal business hours.

Qualifications:

Enrolled student for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters (Graduate Students Preferred)
Required training the week of August 25, 2025
Able to commit to a regular weekly schedule
Knowledge of and proficient with Microsoft Excel

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive student information
Basic knowledge of data analysis concepts and the ability to interpret data trends
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings to groups
Interest in student outcomes, career engagement, or higher education
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Collect, clean, and manage sensitive student data related to career engagement and post-graduation outcomes
Support data systems, including CRM platforms and 12Twenty to ensure accurate and secure data entry and maintenance
Assist in analyzing data and developing reports to evaluate programs and inform improvements
Track and share engagement metrics; contribute to outcome-focused materials and dashboards
Help increase student participation in the First Destination Survey through outreach and follow-up
Participate in strategic data projects and support staff data literacy efforts
Present findings to SuccessWorks staff and campus partners
Maintain confidentiality and follow data privacy best practices at all times
Complete other duties as assigned related to data operations and strategic engagement
