WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: --Prefer minimum of academic year commitment --Commitment to contributing to an inclusive work environment --A desire to learn, an attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to work both independently and on a team, and meet scheduled commitments |
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
|
--Experience, knowledge, and/or interest in archives, public history, and/or campus history --Experience in and/or interest in learning archival arrangement, description, and preservation practices, particularly for image and audiovisual materials --Experience or willingness to learn software, such as ArchivesSpace, Aeon, FileMaker Pro, and Google Apps
|
Position Summary/Job Duties:
|
RESPONSIBILITIES may include: --Processing media collections which may include inspecting, re-housing and creating descriptions for archival media materials such as photographs, videotapes, and film --Prepping and tracking media materials to be sent out for digitization --Completing quality control tasks for digitized media materials from the collections
