Position Summary
The Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver invites applications for various faculty with administrative roles at the college. This posting will be used to fill positions such as: Department Chairs, Program Directors, Professorial Chairs, etc.
This position is responsible for taking care of tasks ranging from necessary administrative details and processes to leading the program in strategic planning. Further, this position not only serves as an advocate and supporter of the individual program, but also as a part of DCB leadership with expectations for considering and serving the needs of all DCB students, staff, and faculty. This position is responsible for knowing, following, and enforcing all institutional policies, as well as being a positive influence on the culture of their program and the university. Specific responsibilities of each position are dependent on the needs of the role and the College.
This is a 12-month per year part-time administrative appointment, during which the faculty member will retain responsibilities for teaching and scholarship/creative work and continue to accrue time towards sabbatical. The typical term for this position is one year, with term, retention, renewal, and selection processes being governed by departmental by-laws and approval of the Associate Dean and Dean. The terms match the fiscal year, starting on July 1 and ending on June 30.
Course Rate
Compensation for this position will be 0-6 course releases and/or $5,000 - $65,000 dependent on role.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
