Trainee Operator

Operate and maintain iconic Tasmanian Hydro assets.

Salary range $86,529 to $106,421 plus super

About You:

As a qualified tradesperson with several years’ experience post qualification, in a mechanical or electrical discipline you’re ready to shake up your career and contribute to Tasmania’s renewable future.

Your experience working in an industrial environment performing fault finding diagnosis coupled with a safety first mindset will see you grow into a skilled operator.

Electrical trades people need to have a current Tasmanian Electrical Practitioners Licence and mechanical trades need the ability to obtain a restricted electrical licence or be licensed under the Electrical Safety Management Scheme. You must also hold a current driver’s licence and demonstrate a suitable standard in computing skills.

About the role:

Using your mechanical or electrical experience, you will operate, maintain, and improve the regions impressive assets ensuring Hydro Tasmania is successfully able to produce the energy required to power Tasmania and the National Electricity Market.

While participating in these activities you will be required to have a high level of safety and environmental awareness ensuring safe working conditions for yourself and colleagues.
