As Entura continues to grow our teams to support our exciting pipeline of projects, we are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer – SCADA to join our Protection and Test Services team.
About You and the Role:
In this senior leadership role, you'll apply your technical expertise to deliver high-impact projects, guide innovation, and mentor the next generation of engineers. You'll lead the delivery of complex projects involving control centres, communication networks, generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Leading SCADA system projects, design and configuration
- Providing expert engineering advice on regulatory compliance, system integration, and emerging technologies
- Acting as a technical lead on major bids and proposals, supporting business development and client engagement
- Managing SCADA-related systems and documentation including software versions, virtual machines, testing equipment, and client-specific standards
- Contributing to financial planning and project management through estimates, budgets, and reporting.
Role can be worked from Hobart, Melbourne or Adelaide.

What you’ll bring:
You are a technical expert and leader with the ability to solve complex problems and guide others to achieve high standards. Some of your key skills and experience may include:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Electrical Engineering (or related field), and RPEQ or RPEV accreditation
- Significant experience in SCADA systems across renewable energy, substations, and grid infrastructure
- Proficiency in multi-vendor SCADA configurations, RTUs, HMIs, and relevant communication protocols
- Understanding of the Australian electricity industry and regulatory requirements
- A track record of managing risk, maintaining safety standards, and delivering quality outcomes
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
- Experience with cyber security frameworks (AESCSF, ISA/IEC 62443) and SCADA integration with AEMO systems
- Testing, commissioning, and estimating experience
- Project management certification or demonstrated high-level project delivery capability.
